After years of hard work and intentional growth, Dieterich, Illinois, recently opened the Wright Family Center, a facility designed to support the town’s growing community of families. Named after Wright Furniture & Flooring, one of Dieterich's oldest businesses, the center serves as a hub for fitness, childcare, and community events.
The Wright Family Center features a 24-hour fitness facility equipped with the latest cardio and weight machines, a full-size gymnasium, pickleball courts, an indoor walking track, and three community rooms available for meetings and events. A standout amenity is the 50-child daycare operated by Montessori Kids Universe, which provides high-quality care. The Village of Dieterich owns the center and leases the daycare space at a reduced rate, helping keep childcare costs low while ensuring excellent service for local families.
Dieterich’s growth is largely attributed to its residential housing programs, made possible through strategic use of TIF (Tax Increment Financing) districts. These programs have helped to nearly double the community from its size in the early nineties.
